Led by our Director, Chakema Clinton-Quintana, our center was launched by Live Oak Bank with a mission to elevate and foster a thriving community of diverse entrepreneurs who scale into job creation through learning and development. We’re dedicated to the doers and work to celebrate the invaluable contributions of minority entrepreneurs throughout the region. A passionate advocate for business, leader in the community, and entrepreneur, Chakema has what it takes to build a stronger ecosystem for minority business owners in the Cape Fear region. From conception to launch, Chakema has put empathy and authenticity at the center of Channel’s culture. Her background in banking, regulatory compliance, and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration has allowed her to foster a community of exceptional service providers and an even broader network of trusted partners.

Business Advisor

Atiba is not only the life of every party, but an exceptional Certified Business Advisor. Our clients work one-on-one with Atiba to leverage his experience as a serial entrepreneur and extensive technical training. He personally understands how critical it is to anticipate risk, map every resource, and explore each opportunity. A Wilmingtonian by birth, Atiba’s leadership shines brightest when building up others. At Channel, she coordinates event production, schedules appointments, and connects clients with the resources they need to take the next step. She’s likely the first face you’ll see when you come by, and a fantastic accountability partner.
